Guarantee adaptation and resilience to climate change, achieving a reduction in greenhouse gases, a 100% renewable commitment by 2050 and a reduction of 1.5º. Actions such as: Municipal action plan for adaptation and mitigation of Climate Change (Madrid-Natura Programme, FREVUE Programme and others), as a coherent public policy coordinated with other existing plans (Air Quality Plan, Mobility Plan and Renewable Energy Plan); better monitoring of episodes of atmospheric pollution and extreme temperatures (cold and heat), as a basis for launching emergency plans; measures to ensure the conservation and expansion of the city's green heritage (planting of trees, plant cover, vertical gardens, urban orchards, etc.); Framework Plan for the prevention and sustainable management of waste in the municipality of Madrid 2017-2022 (with awareness-raising campaigns, improvement of collection services, implementation of nearby clean points, promotion of the collection of organic fraction, etc.).); environmental education and awareness programmes to achieve civic co-responsibility in the areas of mobility, energy saving and waste management.
